BIO
Michael Wells, DDS, QME, received his bachelors degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and continued on to the University of the Pacific, where he completed a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He is also a graduate of the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry (LVI).
Dr. Wells has been practicing in Newport Beach since 1992. He specializes in cosmetic dentistry and dental injuries caused by professional sports. For the last 10 years, he has examined more than 1,400 professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB to assess work-related dental injuries. He also works regularly with sleep apnea patients, which is a rapidly expanding problem in today’s world.
Since 2007, Dr. Wells has been a mentor for the Ladera Ranch Implant Institute, which teaches dentist how to place dental implants. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.
